      I woke up with a cold on this morning, so after lazing around for a few hours we decided to make the most of the rest of the day. After visiting the “real” @[112238775459592:Paddington Bear] at Paddington station, we jumped on the train to Acton for a super geeky adventure day.

      It was the Acton Museum Depot open day – an extension of the London Transport Museum which only opens once a year.

      The depot was crazy and filled with all kinds of tube trains.

      I’m sure we were the youngest people there but we love the underground, so we didn’t care!

      Now I finally understand how the tube stations lay on a map around our house (we live pretty much where the black smudge is).

      We got to take a ride on a fancy old Routemaster Bus. I always feel like the Spice Girls jumping in and out the back door.

      I managed to pick up some big shiny tube uniform buttons which will look great on my sailor dress.

    Tom ended up leaving with a very large East London sign for the Mews. In other underground news, Mr Warwick Avenue sent me a message on Facebook after seeing our article about him in Snippets, he’s such a nice man.

    We spotted this lost dog sign while walking around the road and it made us giggle.

    In the evening @[504734517:Norman Tallman] and @[693690283:Ben Pettifer] invited us over for Hogtoberfest and made me some delicious veggie sausages.

      The hairdressers next to the station has a very odd selection of trinkets and portraits in the window.
