  1. Facebook Checkin at Roseleaf at 28 May 12:14
    1. Edit

This morning we went for breakfast at the Roseleaf, my favourite cafe in Edinburgh.

    2. Edit

Tom and I shared the pancakes and shore eggs benedicts. The pancakes taste amazing with banana and toffee sauce. I also had an I-Pal smoothie which was carrot, apple and ginger juice which is good for your eyes.

The guy next to us ordered a fry up which was served in a frying pan.

    5. Edit

We then stopped for coffee and cake at The Village Coffee House in Gullane.

  2. Edit

Afterwards we went for a drive along the coast.

  3. Facebook Checkin at Port Seton at 28 May 13:59
    1. Edit

Our first stop was Port Seaton which was covered in bunting.

    2. Edit

There was a festival on called the 3 Ports Art Festival where people's houses had been set up as mini art galleries and you could browse from one door to the next.

    3. Edit

I just liked snooping in other people's houses.

    4. Edit

A poor little dog lost it's ball in the sea and couldn't swim out far enough to get it back. We watched for ten minutes as the ball made it's way around the dock and finally ended up on some rocks. The dog was so happy to get it back!

  4. Checkin at Fenton Barns Farm Shop and Cafe'
    1. Edit

We then stopped at a farm cafe and shop which reminded us of the Pillars of Hercules in Fife.

    2. Edit

The cafe was too busy to sit in so we just bought some chocolate. The farm breeds cute little wild pigs and we asked if we could see them but they were too dangerous.

    3. Edit

I got a raspberry chocolate log which was really tasty.

  5. Checkin at Gullane
    1. Edit

It was very kitsch inside with antiques everywhere and old fashioned music on the record player.

    2. Edit

Tom and I shared a rocky road cake and some millionaire's shortcake.

We spotted a port-a-loo in the newspaper which had blown over in the storm and, when we looked out of the window, there it was!

  6. Facebook Checkin at North Berwick Beach at 28 May 16:15
    1. Edit

Our next stop was North Berwick where we walked along the windy beach.

I managed to get some squished pennies in the visitor centre.

  7. Edit

We then drove to the countryside where we could get a good view of the Bass Rock. It's white because it's covered in sea birds and if you look closely, you can see them flying above the rocks.

  8. Checkin at Water of Leith Walk
    1. Edit

It was dinnertime, so we drove back to Leith.

  9. Facebook Checkin at International Starters at 28 May 18:49
    1. Edit

We went for dinner at International Starters, a restaurant that serves only starters from various cuisines around the world.

    2. Edit

You're suppose to order 2-3 plates per person but they portions were quite large. Mum and I shared tamales and a quesadilla.

  10. Facebook Checkin at Chop Chop Leith at 28 May 19:41
    1. Edit

We went for dessert at Chop Chop. The restaurant was really busy and our peanut dumplings came out undercooked so we ended up getting them free.

  11. Facebook Checkin at Malmaison Hotel at 28 May 22:31
    1. Edit

After dinner we met up with Sirin and Shell for a drink at the bar in the Malmason Hotel. It was very fancy with lots of lovely smelling candles.
