Moving To Omaha

      Today we had our interview with the American Embassy to find out if we'd be allowed to stay for six months. We weren't allowed to take our phones or any electronics and after we were herded through heavy security, we sat and waited and waited until it was our turn. They asked us lots of questions about why we were going, how we could afford it and how they could ensure we were coming back but they approved us, gave us a wink and told us to have fun!

    So we have 27 days left in London and come June, we're moving to Omaha in Nebraska. It's right in the middle of America, so we're going to set up base in a loft and travel around and try to see all the states (minus Hawaii and Alaska) like Stephen Fry did. Why Omaha? It's super cheap (a quarter of our London rent), right in the middle so it'll be easy to travel and we love the music scene, so that should keep us entertained when we're not travelling.

    We went for a drink in the park to celebrate. It was really hot today and while we were in the embassy we were looking out to everyone enjoying the sun in the park.

      We then met up with Louise for shakes and nibbles at Jacks. It's so nice being able to sit out at night.
