      This morning we waved goodbye to Grazia and her family and headed south for Los Angeles.

    The drive was pretty uneventful and flat, but filled with orchards.

      Tom had been desperate to try an In-N-Out Burger, so we stopped for lunch when we passed one on the motorway.

      We ordered the grilled cheese from the secret menu, which was just like a cheese burger without the meat.

      We then drove to Los Angeles, where we were staying in the Historic Hollywood Hotel on Melrose which boasts a great view of the Hollywood Sign.

      We went for dinner at Swinger's Diner which was awesome and had lots of vegetarian options.
