Sleepless In Seattle

    Today was our last day in Vancouver and we had the house to ourselves, so we got some much needed work done. Check out @[36343136888:Princess Superstar] rocking the origami necklace the winner of our contest on @[6308333870:Cut Out + Keep] made.

    We'd grown quite attached to Ginger during our short stay and were sorry to say bye to her.

      When Bruce got home from work, we packed up the car and headed towards the border, stopping for lunch just before to spend our remaining Canadian money.

      Our money stretched quite far, ordering us miso soup and a sushi party platter for two.

      All three of us were full by the end of the meal.

      It was then time to cross the border back in to America at the Peace Arch. There were no problems and we were told to have fun and the man waved us through.

    The scenery changed so much as we entered Washington with tall fir trees and mist hanging in the air. It looked just like it does in @[107566302606873:Twilight].

      Eventually we arrived in Seattle and, after checking in to our hotel, headed to Capitol Hill to meet Tom Milway and his lovely wife, Megan. Tom use to work with Tom at @[19343183144:Drowned in Sound] and we hadn't seem him in over two years, since he moved to America.

      Our first stop was Sun Liquor, which was a lot classier than the name suggests, where we had "Income Tax" cocktails.

      We were then invited along to the Redwood Tavern to crash a friend's birthday party. It was such a nice bar with awesome wallpaper in the bathrooms. We chatted to one of the owners, who topped up our drinks and gave us tips on where to see on our travels.
