    Today we woke up in South Dakota and drove west through the prairies.

    We passed the skeleton walking a t-rex which was really cool.

      We stopped to have a look in the Badlands Trading Post where I got a couple of squished pennies.

      We then stopped at the Prairie Dog Ranch Store.

      We bought a bag of nuts from the shop for 50c and went to feed the prairie dogs.

      We then drove through the Badlands National Park.

      As soon as we entered South Dakota we started seeing dozens of signs for Wall Drug, even though it was still 200 miles away.

      We stopped to see what all the fuss was about and get a squished penny.

      It was mostly just a scary tourist trap but Tom got to ride a jackalope.

    We stopped for lunch in Rapid City which had statues of the presidents on every corner.

      I had a quiche at the Bully Tea Shop which was really nice.

      We then went to see Mount Rushmore.

      We then crossed the state line in to Wyoming, which is our 19th state visited.

      Our first stop was Sundance where the Sundance Kid was once jailed.

      We arrived in Chamberlain really late and the only place left open was Pizza Hut, where I helped myself to the salad bar.
