One year later and we were back for a Dundee adventure day today. We walked down in to town from @[61003597:Duncan Stephen]'s flat behind the Law and I took photos of everything I recognised.

My Mum likes to walk past our old flat whenever she’s in the city, so I took a photo of it for her.

Then we went for a look around the McManus Galleries which have have reopened after years of refurbishment. It’s nice to see they start simple for the Dundonians with the What’s A Museum? section.

I liked this plastic bottle light installation… I remember seeing something similar in Edinburgh a few years back.

We then had a quick drink in Wetherspoon’s (our old local) while Tom did a quick fix to @[6308333870:Cut Out + Keep] from his phone.

And then we went down to the Discovery so I could get a squished penny.

This is the first squished penny machine I can remember. I wanted to get one when I was little but I was all out of pocket money.

We then went for a spot of record shopping at Groucho’s. We’ve bought so many records from here over the years.

We then went to Duke’s Corner which is where the Doghouse use to be. They have so many beers on tap, including @[21251598643:BrewDog]. Malcolm, Kirsty and Iain joined us… it was so good to see them all.

We went for lunch at Ketchup, which is an awesome new diner. I wish this had been open when we lived in Dundee.

The vegetarian choice was fantastic and I went for Nutty About Quorn burger. If you get a password from their websites, it’s 2 for 1 on burgers, so we frantically googled the code.

The milkshakes came in milk bottles which were equally as cool as cocktails in jam jars.

Afterwards I wanted to try some ice cream from the Marble Slab Creamery but the shop was gone. I’ll have to wait until the next time I’m in Canada.

We took the elevator up to the carpark on top of the Overgate so I could take a nice photo of Dundee at sunset.

We then headed back to Duke’s Corner where @[166314336747217:The View] were also drinking. We were giggling earlier about how we didn’t think they’d play there anymore.

Our old neighbours Elise and Ads joined us and it was so good to see them and reminisce about the old times at St Andrews Street. Ewan, Tom’s ex-boss from Wangbar also joined us for a few drinks.

It was then time for the @[9028598145:Idlewild] gig at Fat Sam's. Elise got us right to the front so we had an awesome view.

The gig was really good and at the end Elise managed to grab us a setlist.

It was sad to say bye to Dundee and all of our awesome friends but hopefully we’ll see them all again soon.
