• These are portrites on wooden slats of Romans or Greeks living in Egypt. They were from around Cleopatra's time (30 BC). Of course, Cleopatra was Greek too. Shame about the square bit of light in the photo.
  • This morning my parents and I went to the Pollock's Toy Museum near Goodge Street.
  • Toys wounded in action. These looked like the GI Joe's that I used to have.
  • Working steam engine toy from around 1900. Made in Germany by D.C. Doll and Company. It seems right that a toy maker should have the last name Doll.
  • The museum is based over four floors in a really squeaky old building. There were so many things to see and my parents kept squealing when they saw toys they use to play with.
  • The View Master was one of the toys that I had. There was also an amazing doll house of a fabric store which I loved. It was quite hard to take photos because it was so sunny and there were reflections on the glass, so I'd recommend going on a grey day.
