This morning we jumped in the car and drove off to explore Wiltshire and the Cotswolds.
Our first stop was The Polly Tea Rooms in Marlborough.
There were so many amazing cakes to choose from but Tom and I decided to share the coffee cake and a cherry bakewell.
We then headed to Avebury where Tom and I looked for interesting things to do in the Tourist Information office.
We then went to see the stones, which my Dad has always wanted to see.
There were lots of Druids doing a chant around the stones. The leader would turn and say "for peace in the East" and then everyone in the circles would say "in the East" and then they would all turn and say "for peace in the West".
We stopped for sandwiches in the Red Lion. My Mum and I shared a tuna salad sandwich. This is suppose to be one of the mode haunted pubs in England.
We then went to the Swindon & Cricklade Railway which is an old railway line which has been restored for tourists to ride on.
We got our tickets and then we got to ride on an old diesel train.
We got to sit in a fancy first class booth. I wish all trains were like this.
Afterwards we went for a drink in the train carriage cafe.
They make their own brand of beer called Tiddly Dyke.
I spotted a phesant our of the window.
On our drive to the Cotswolds we spotted a white horse on the cliff side. Not the official white horse though, which we'd be seeing later.
Eventually we arrived in Cirencester, which is the heart of the Cotswolds. It was pretty but really hard to find somewhere to eat.
We got lucky and found a nice Italian restaurant where we got pizzas. The waiters were joking with Tom telling him that his calzone was filled with snails, snake and frog legs.
We spotted a dog that looked just like @[68310606562:Mark Zuckerberg]'s puppy @[202825023077692:Beast].
Our final stop of the day was White Horse Hill where we were hoping to get a look at the horse carved into the hill before the sun went down.
It got dark quickly but we got to see the horse in last few minutes of daylight.
