Tom got us a Rover Rail pass today, which meant that we could take unlimited numbers of trains and explore the South Of England. They only cost £24 for all four of us.

Our first stop was Portsmouth so that my Dad could see the ships.

I managed to get a squished penny of the HMS Victory so I was happy.

We went for breakfast in Feed Cafe, which was hidden away in a railway arch. I had french toast with baked beans which was exactly what I wanted.

Afterwards we walked along the shore, which had lots of shops and saw the ferry leaving for the Isle of Wite. I'd like to go someday.

We jumped back on the train and heading East to Chichester. We gave ourselves 25 minutes to run, take photos of the cathedral and get back on the train. It seemed like a really pretty town!

We then caught the train to Brighton, where we had a few minutes before jumping on a connecting train.

I wanted to go to the seaside, so we got off the train at Eastbourne, which had a lovely pier.

We stopped for tea and scones in the Victorian Tea Rooms which were lovely.

We then walked along the seafront. It was a really hot day but it was windy next to the sea, which made us cold, so we didn't stay for too long.

We stopped for a snoop around the museum shop in the Museum Of Shops where Tom managed to get a postcard for 15p.

We spotted the famous dog of the photo studio in the train station. He didn't look like he was enjoying the life of a celebrity though.

My Dad wanted to see the field from the Battle of Hastings, so Tom, my Mum and I went to the beach. We could see out to the pier which burned down last August.

Tom then treated us to a ride on a miniature train which had to be the least fun ever, lasting for 2 minutes and driven by a smoking man who coughed all over me.

When we reached the top, there was a castle and we could see out over the town.

We headed back to the station, where we met Dad and then we jumped back on the train.

We had to change trains at Hampden Park, so that we could go to Brighton.

Eventually we arrived in Brighton and went for a late dinner at Carluccio's.

I had seafood risotto which was delicious. I was so hungry! We also got a free bottle of wine with our meal because I had a voucher.

For dessert I had a hazelnut brownie and an Italian drink called a Bicerin, where you mix together espresso, cream and thick melted chocolate. It was really nice.

We arrived back in London just after midnight, having travelled over 200 miles, and fell in to bed when we got home. That was so much fun, I can't wait to get more magical tickets and explore the rest of Britain.
