Today we headed through to Edinburgh with my parents and went for breakfast at the @[97761900122:Roseleaf bar cafe] in Leith. I still love their menus in magazines.
I went for waffles with banana and toffee sauce and rose lemonade. My Dad and I then shared some “Ginger ninja creme Bru(ce)lee” which was really tasty. I’d give it 8/10 in terms of the best brulee’s I’ve had.
They have blackboards in the bathroom so you can graffiti as much as you like. The sign always makes me giggle too.
We then walked in to town along the Water of Leith which was really pretty. I spotted a really cute cat.
Lots of the paths along the trail use to be railway tracks and one of the platforms had been left in place.
We walked up to the castle so I could get a squished penny but you had to pay the entrance fee to get one from the castle, so I settled with one from the Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
We had a look in the new and only remaining Avalanche, which is now in the Grassmarket. They had lots of @[73901076279:Saddle Creek Records] bits and pieces which was cool.
We then headed to the Cameo for drinks in the bar.
We then took my parents to see @[160640653979986:The Social Network Movie].
In the evening I treated everyone to dinner at Chop Chop. We had dumplings, noodles and peanut dumplings for dessert.
