  1. Checkin at Monkey park
    1. Edit

It was sunny again this morning so we headed to Monkey Park. We had so much fun there last year, so we were excited to show Tom around.

The first enclosure was the squirrel monkeys who were just as cute and cheeky as ever. You’re given a big bag of mixed food when you enter, so it’s easiest to just hold the bag up to the monkeys and let them route through to find which food they like to eat. The monkeys seemed quite sleepy at this time of day. They have really cold hands and feet. Mum thinks they smell like Wotsits, so we told her that’s why their hands were so yellow.

The lemurs were in the next enclosure. I love their tails. The lizards live in the same enclosure, as do the turtles.

Next we went to see the monkeys and chimps which were too dangerous to be in the same cage with. The chimps were blowing kisses at us and trying to catch the food in their mouths. One of them shook it’s head at my throwing and walked away after several failed attempts.

The basic idea behind Monkey Park is… if it moves, feed it.

  2. Checkin at Sunset Bay Adeje
    1. Edit

After handing out the rest of our food it was time to go back to the hotel for a swim. The pool was cold so we *warmed* up with ice creams. There was also a cute cat sunning itself.

In the evening we went for cocktails at Harley’s American Diner. They have converted cars that you can sit in, which sounds like one step away from drink driving.

I treated everyone to cocktails, which were really good. I tried an FBI and a Chocolate Orange.
