We went for a bite to eat in the LCB Surf Store, which is a cool little cafe where you can sit beneath surf boards and sip smoothies. They had an old iMac G4 as their till which was very cool.

The Facebook event was being held at Beach Blanket Babylon, which was a really fancy venue with a huge light up bar.

All the main developers from Facebook had flown over from San Francisco, so we were nervous before our pitch but everyone was lovely and we were given t-shirt and Facebook branded water bottles.

Tom had three minutes to pitch the site and it went really well. A venture capitalist even snuck him a card at the end of his talk.

Afterwards there was a cocktail party downstairs in the bar where we got to chat to members of Facebook. Arun, who'd we met at the Facebook event at Barbican last year was also there pitching his idea, so it was good to see him again.
