    This morning I woke up for my first day as a Londoner. We went for a walk around Maida Vale this morning and everyone seemed so nice and friendly. Someone actually said hello, which never happened in our three years of Dundee. It feels more like a village in Maida Vale, even though it's a few minutes from the center and there are lots of coffee shops for us to try out.

      Luckily we still had the moving van today and were in desperate need of furniture, so Tom's Dad drove us up to Ikea at Wembly so we could got a bed, sofa, wardrobes and other essentials.

      In the evening we went to see @[109509585734662:Martha Wainwright] at the South Bank Centre. We had tickets to see her in Glasgow for the weekend but obviously we wont be able to go, so @[19343183144:Drowned in Sound] (Tom's new employers) sorted us out for tickets as they are her record label. The gig was really good and we loved being able to sit out on the South Bank and take in the sights before the gig. I love London.
