Today Halloween, my favourite day of the year and not only because I get to wear my @[24652532928:Vivienne Westwood] horns out in public. We started the day by making a leaf wreath for the door.

Afterwards we carved our pumpkins. I made mine an evil cat, it works really well when you peel the skin and have white bits of pumpkin. Tom made his pumpkin in to @[112401055439442:Github’s Octocat], which was more cute than scary.

I made some chocolate candy apples and peanut butter candy apples from a recipe in @[116818247929:BUST Magazine].

In the afternoon we went for a walk to do some pumpkin spotting around Belgravia. We passed by Nigella Lawson’s house which had some crazy decorations including a 10 foot tall statue of the grim reaper.

We then headed in to town and caught a Routemaster (be warned: bumpy busses, hot chocolate and beige macs do not go well together).

We got off at Tower Hill, where we were meeting Lynsey and Louise who had been on an 8 hour walking tour. Tower Bridge was a great place to be at Halloween, so spooky and dark.

We headed home to decorate sugar skulls and eat the candy apples.

  9. Edit

We snuggled up and watched @[39011018862:The Ring] with popcorn and toffee apples. I’m usually too scared to watch horror movies but Louise kept warning us when the scary bits were coming up and that killed the suspense. Lynsey stayed over after the film.
