It's been getting dark so early these days but the silver lining is that the sunsets are getting earlier too and we sat down to this gorgeous view from our window at brunch.

I'm not sure if we can trust Tom to go food shopping anymore. He came back from Waitrose with orange infused smoked salmon gilded with edible gold. It was delicious though!

Even though we picked up a Christmas tree last weekend, we've been too busy to decorate it and finally got a chance to add lights today.

In the evening, we headed to Shoreditch to meet Keava and Robbie for dinner.

  5. Checkin at Xi'an Biang Biang Noodles
    1. Edit

Robbie suggested Xi'an Biang Biang Noodles which has been on my to-try list for ages.

    2. Edit

Biang Biang is up in Shoreditch and specialises in pulled noodles.

Keava ordered the coriander black fungus which was tasty even though coriander tastes like soap to me.

Of course, I had to try the pulled noodles so ordered the vegetarian ones without too much spice. They were delicious but like one really long thick noodle. It would have been a Lady & The Tramp moment if I'd shared.

  6. Checkin at The Culpeper
    1. Edit

Just across the road, The Culpepper was tempting us in for a drink. It's somewhere I've been wanting to go because we heard there was a giant pickle on the roof.

    2. Edit

There was no sign of pickles inside but it was really cosy with fairy lights and plants.

    3. Edit

I sipped on a hibiscus gin & tonic while we reminisced about the LiveJournal days and how we all met. Amazing food, drinks and company - the perfect evening!
