It felt like summer today and was warm enough that we didn't have to wear our jackets. We walked down to Little Venice and ate our lunch in the park.

In the evening we were invited to the launch party for a new fashion label called Vanessa G at Banqueting House. The email said @[5202024322:Lily Allen] would also be attending and the street was filled with paparazzi as we approached.

Our names were ticked off the list and we were rushed through on to the red carpet. Eeep... it was our first red carpet and it was quite scary.

Banqueting House was amazing on the inside. Our coats were taken and we were handed champagne, which was attentively topped up all night. For the first hour we were left to mingle, drink and eat canopies. We spotted @[36717922669:Konnie Huq], @[141774038876:Jade Jagger] and @[6434097627:Sophie Ellis Bextor].

The martinis had gold leaf on top... actually everything had gold leaf on top!

Some of the canapes were served in bird cages. We got to try scallops, poached eggs (with gold leaf), vegetable wraps, mushroom pate on toast, goats cheese and Tom had lamb and duck l'orange.

This cocktail tasted like flowers and was very fragrant... kind of like drinking potpourri or your granny's perfume. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not.

When we had drank and eaten about as much as we could handle, it was time for the catwalk to begin. We were taken up to the main room, which had an amazing ceiling and show to our seats, where our goody bags were waiting for us.

The goody bag included floral scarves and a 4gb USB key which is really handy, because I need one.

The show was spectacular with models on balconies, walls that spun in to mirrors and a live band.

The collection had a floral theme with big prints, tailored dresses and gorgeous suit jackets.

Vanessa G Catwalk

I loved the model's beehive hair and striking make-up.

After the catwalk, we headed back down stairs to toast Vanessa G a happy 50th birthday.

She had an amazing cake and @[6434097627:Sophie Ellis Bextor] and husband (who's in The Feeling) were on the decks.

Our second stop of the evening was The Jam Tree on the King's Road in Chelsea which was having it's VIP opening.

We were a little too late for the "Colonial inspired menu" but we enjoyed another two glasses of champagne. The bar seems really nice, with awesome Union Jack chairs and a lovely beer garden at the back.

We then went to a late screening of @[153794057965493:Chalet Girl] at Fulham Broadway, which was awful even though it had Chuck Bass in it. We had to wait for ages on a night bus and didn't end up getting to bed until half three.
