The theme of this box was Date Night In Osaka with flavour such as ginger, sesame and wasabi to experiment with.

    2. Edit

After a quick trip to the supermarket to buy the list of ingredients, it was time to get cooking. The recipe card was really easy to follow, listing the correct order to cook each dish so that courses would be ready at the right time.

    3. Edit

To start, we had Okonomiyaki, a savoury pancake made from pak choi, carrots and spring onion. It was drizzled with homemade brown sauce and Japanese mayo and was the perfect sharer to tuck into.

    4. Edit

The main course was a hot bowl of Tantan Ramen in a creamy peanut sauce, with crispy beef (which we substituted for Quorn mince), noodles and a super spicy homemade chilli oil.

    5. Edit

For dessert, we tucked into Soy Ginger Creme Caramel which were so simple to make and tasted delicious. You simply infuse the custard with ginger flakes from the kit, bake the creme caramels and then leave them to chill while preparing the rest of the meal.
