After a 5am start we headed to King’s Cross for a McDonald’s breakfast and then to catch our train home.

Luckily it was nice and quiet, so we got a table and could work, while watching the countryside get snowier and snowier as we approached Scotland. Getting from Edinburgh to Fife was the tricky part and as we were over an hour delayed, but we'll be able to claim all of our train fare back.

Tom’s parents picked us up from the station and whisked us off to the forests near Falkland for lunch at the Pillars of Hercules.

The food was incredible and all vegetarian, so I was spoilt for choice. I went for the bean burger which came with super tasty salads. It was really cold inside the cabin so I’m glad we didn’t sit outside under the icicles.
