We were up super early this morning, so perked oursleves up with brunch at the Urban Baristas in Wapping.

Though I really should have ordered a drink with caffeine, I got tempted by a charcoal latte which looked so pretty in black with a white milk heart in the middle.

I tucked into avocado toast while Tom had salmon on toast. They were both topped with flowers and looked so pretty.

After dragging Tom to a wedding fair on Friday, I thought it was best to let him pick a weekend adventure. A little less romantic, he chose Crossness, a former sewage pumping station.

The first thing that hit me was the smell and Tom informed me that all of South London's sewage was running below our feet so if we timed it well, we could make a visit at home and then visit it again here.

Appropriately we started our visit in The Great Stink Exhibition looking at the history ofLondon's plumbing and sewer system.

I loved the display of toilets throughout the decades, complete with vintage reading material and loo roll.

It was then time to enter the pump room where we got to wear some attractive hard hats.

I asked Tom if we could stop off in Nunhead on the way home so I could buy some plants.

The Nunhead Gardener is a gorgeous garden centre that I'd been wanting to check out for a while.

It's underneath the railway bridge with arches filled with indoor plants.

I loved the way they still had old railway signs around the shop. It's how I hope our place will look when Tom gets all the train signs and I get all the plants I'm dreaming of.
