With Tom away on Duncan's stag in Aviemore, Pamela came down to spend a girly weekend with me.
I started off by treating her to brunch at The Good Egg in Kingly Court.
It's never too early to start drinking with Pamela, so she had a belini while I had a pear & cinnamon shrub topped with fizz.
There was a 2 course set menu, so we tucked into Whipped Green Feta to start. It was delicious and topped with crispy chickpeas.
The feta came with a side of flatbread dripping with herb butter.
For the second course, I tucked into the Lox & Cream Cheese Bagel, with pastrami-cured trout, which I had to check didn't actually involve meat.
We were starting to feel a little sleepy, so we decided to perk ourselves up with coffee and cake at Dominique Ansel.
I had a Cinnamon Roll Latte which came topped with a toasted marshmallow.
And to eat, I had a Gingerbread Pinecone covered in tiny chocolate petals with ginger mousse, speculoos ganache and spiced cake.
