The first event of the season was the C-Pop by VIP.COM catwalk show, where we were welcomed by Caroline Rush, the Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council, who emphasised the importance of technology in the fashion industry.

MUZKIN were the first designers to take to the catwalk with a collection youthfully channeling Chinese culture with swimwear, obi belts, bright colours, futuristic sunglasses and packaging print fabric.

Using shoulder pads to create exaggerated silhouettes, designers Kate Han and George Feng are unafraid to mix baggy and fitted pieces with masculine pant suits paired with beads, fishnets and swimwear for a feminine finish.

The stand-out piece to me was a blue PVC cropped biker jacket paired with a swimsuit and origami bag, combining the beauty of traditional Chinese dress with the edgy practicality of modern wear.

Ideal for Spring with delicately layered laces and flowing maxi skirts, Bailuyu was next on the catwalk.

The Bailuyu name comes from the Chinese world Lu for deer, a lucky symbol which can be seen embroidered on several pieces across the collection.

Combining floaty feminine dresses with comfortable hoodies and blazers, the collection was practical, comfortable and pretty, with a gorgeous green lace dress stealing the show.

Hauntingly beautiful, A Life On The Left were third to take to the runway with models under floor length veils.

The make-up was just as striking as the outfits which showcased floral prints, embroidery, big obi-style bows and flower crowns, creating a Geisha inspired collection.

The key pieces were with statement bags featuring rag dolls, a top hat and a pair of elbow length gloves with a flowing pom pom trim.

Kisscat closed the show with a collection sure to get anyone through the new season in style, come rain or shine, pairing swimsuits with ponchos and graphic tees with mesh dresses.

As one of China's leading women's shoe makers, the accessories were the perfect finishing touch to each look with plastic wrapped heels, single arm slings and handbags made from shoes.
