    Rhonda & Mike are over in the UK from Canada, so we invited them to stay with us and see London for a few days.

      Our first stop was Soho for lunch and we treated them to a lobster roll at Smack.

      We then stopped off at the Algerian Coffee Stores to buy some coffee beans.

      I discovered that the front of the building is clad with the timbers of an old ship and that's why there's a ship on their weathervane.

      There were so many pretty things, including lots of elegant cat portraits.

    We popped into a new designer glasses shop called Gentle Monster which was filled with strange sculptures and anamatronic monsters.

      Rhonda & Mike love birds so our next stop was Kensington Gardens to see the parakeets.

      The birds were as friendly as ever, apart from one who kept greedily fighting off the others for our food.

      We made our way through the gardens as the sun set keeping an eye out for the tiny owls which had been spotted in the trees.

      There were no owls but we did stop to admire the carvings on the Albert Memorial.

      Rhonda & Mike used to live in Hiroshima, so we took them down to Brixton to try the okonomiyaki at Okan which they thought was just as good as the one they loved from Japan.
