      We kicked off our day at Vanilla Black wit rose lattes and Portuguese tarts.

      We then stopped off to see Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine, a memorial at the crash site where the T-Rex singer died.

      Rhonda & Mike love bird-spotting so we took them to the London Wetlands Centre.

      It was our first visit to the wetlands but they were huge and we could have easily spent the whole day there.

      We couldn't have picked a better pair of experts to visit with and they knew the name of almost every bird we spotted.

      As well as birds and ducks, there were plenty of other creatures to discover from dragonflies and frogs to butterflies and mice.

      The otters were my favourites to watch, but not so great to take photos of, because they were super playful and kept running after each other.

      In the evening, Rhonda & Mike treated us to dinner at the Tommyfield as an early birthday present.

      We then headed to The White Bear for their pub quiz.
