      We decided to explore Balham today, as it's only a few stops down from us on the Northern Line.

      We treated ourselves to brunch at a lovely little cafe called Brother Marcus.

      I had French toast crumpets topped with yogurt, caramelised pecans & bananas and a berry smoothie sprinkled with bee pollen.

      Afterwards we went for a drink at The Devonshire, a quirkly decorated pub with a giant Vivienne Westwood mural on the wall.

      The beer garden was filled with Miami inspired beach huts to sit in.

      Afterwards we checked out the Balham Bowls Club, a cool pub based in the old bowls club.
