We were lucky enough to get some cheap tickets to Fantastia at The Vaults this evening.

The Vaults are in Leake Street Tunnel among all the graffiti.

We weren't sure what to expect as we made our way through the dark tunnels to be handed headphones and a map.

    5. Edit

We started by entering a dark room where we lay down on a circular bench and looked up at an animation on the ceiling while listening to classical music on the headphones.

    6. Edit

We then made our way into a long corridor filled with doors and musical instruments hanging from the ceiling.

    7. Edit

The first room we entered was The Nutcracker Suite with a dark forest filled with flowers that lit up in time to the music.

Next we entered The Sorcerer's Apprentice with actors performing the mopping scene from Fantastia. It was very splashy.

There was a gigantic volcano in The Rite Of Spring, which changed colour in time to the music and errupted.

The final room was a theatre decorated with clouds for The Dance Of The Hours, a comedy performance with ballet dancers and airial acrobats.

There was one final room with a projection of dancers against a forest and after the video, the curtain pulled up to unveil a smoky forest for us to exit through.
