We were invited to Catfest London, the city's first (or should I say furst?!) festival dedicated to cats so we headed up to Cambridge Heath this morning.

When we heard that Catfest, a festival about cats and pop culture was coming to London, we knew we had to check it out.

    2. Edit

The sold out festival took place at the very cool Oval Space near Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green.

The main hall featured stalls selling everything a cat lady could need from toys, feeders and pet food to art, books and human accessories.

With our cat, Bobbin's birthday just around the corner, we couldn't resist stopping off at Cheshire & Wain to get her a gorgeous new collar embossed with her name.

There was a gallery of cat art with feline takes on classic works such as melting Dali cats and a vase of Vincent van Gogh flowers being munched by a kitty.

We took a walk through Broadway Market afterwards, which also had lots of interesting shops and cafes on either side, so there was so much to see.

  5. Checkin at Meringue Girls
    1. Edit

I'd been keen to try some of the Meringue Girl's creations since I got their cookbook and was excited to spot their stall.

    2. Edit

The meringues were arranged in rainbow with flavours like gin & tonic and rose, so we got a box with one of each to take away.

We then went for a drive up north and had a picnic.
