I'd been wanting to go to Milk Train for ice cream for ages and finally got the chance today, when Tom was picking up a new phone nearby.
Their ice cream is served on a cloud of candy floss and we tucked into the Unicorn flavour topped with rainbow sprinkles and wafers.
The underpass at Charing Cross station is a rather unusual place for a mini shopping mall but it's home to Davenports Magic shop.
The shop was just closing as we arrived but there was just enough time to have a look at their cabinets of tricks.
My favourite was one called Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits Everywhere!
We popped into The Whisky Exchange to check out the miniature selection for Dad and the shop was like something from Harry Potter with thousands of bottles in antique cabinets.
I tried to tempt Tom to go for a coffee at Café in the Crypt under St Martin-in-the-Fields, because it looks so cool inside but he's got a phobia about cafes that smell like soup.
