    We met up with Pamela in Brixton after work and headed out for drinks. Unfortunately the first bar we went to ended up serving us cocktails filled with ants and we had to insist for them to be taken off the bill.

      Not wanting to let it ruin our evening, we headed for dinner at Okan in Brixton Village.

      I had a cocktail with mint, elderflower, yuzu and fresh ginger.

      Our okonomiyaki and gyoza were delicious.

      Afterwards we ended up at Shrub & Shutter which ironically had a cocktail on the menu that was meant to be served with ants.

      As tempting as it was, I choose to order the Pink Cookies In A Plastic Bag cocktail which was actually served in a plastic bag with pink wafer cookies.

      For the next round, I ordered The Bourdain with gin, vermouth, green walnut, apricot, campari and orange. It was inspired by Anthony Bourdain who had died a few days earlier.
