Morley To Waddington

      We woke up in Leeds this morning and headed out for a mini walk around the town.

    We were looking at our map when we spotted that Morley was nearby and Waddington was only an hour away, so decided to take a road-trip between the two.

      We started in Morley which was a reasonable sized town and Tom giggled the whole time pointing out shops like Cats Protection Morley, Morley Market and Tesco Morley.

      Morley was also home to Ernie Wise from comedy duo Morecambe and Wise.

      Back on the road-trip, our next stop was the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

      The park covered a huge area with fields and gardens.

      I should have been paying more attention to the art but the sheep roaming free were so cute and distracting.

    Back on the road, we drove through a field of poppies and I couldn't resist jumping out to take a photo of Poppy the campervan among the poppies.

      We were starting to feel hungry, so we decided to park up and have lunch in Sherwood Forest.

      Tom cooked up rolls with Quorn bacon, Quorn sausages and halloumi. They were delicious and they passing robins were very interested in our crumbs.

      After lunch we took the trail to see Major Oak, where Robin Hood and his merry men are thought to have slept.

      Finally, we arrived in Waddington which was a little town with not too much to it but it did have an airforce base.
