It was set to be another toasty day in London but we weren't going to let the heat stop us from exploring with my parents.
We started with breakfast outside our local cafe the Sugar Pot.
I love their banana bread and this time I tried it with Nutella and blueberries.
We headed to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home afterwards to see the fluff balls.
There were so many adorable cats and dogs but we were so glad to see that most of them had already been spoken for.
This little puppy was so adorable and friendly. I really wanted to adopt him but I didn't think Bobbin would let me.
We went for a walk around Battersea Park afterwards and made our way towards the river.
Dad had heard about the Savoy Cafe which was featured in A-Ha's video, Take On Me and wanted to check it out.
It was a traditional little London cafe and Mum & I couldn't resist sharing beans on toast.
We noticed there was a pub nearby called The Bobbin so we went to check it out in honour of Bobbin. It was a lovely little pub so I think she would approve.
We wandered up to Clapham afterwards.
Mum treated us to a coffee at Gail's Bakery.
We decided to escape the heat of the sun by stopping off at WC Wine & Charchuterie, a bar in a former public toilet.
We sat in a cosy candle-lit booth which felt nothing like being in a former toilet, apart from the old pumbing hardware on the walls.
We tucked into a tasty cheese board with somerset brie, gubbeen, Tomme de Savoie, Bleu d’Avergne, and Pyrenees Brebis.
There was an amazing lightening storm in the evening, so we sat upstairs and watched it over the skyline, wondering if a bolt would hit the Shard.
