We headed up to Hackney this morning for brunch at Cafe Miami.

I loved the art deco building and pastel blue and pink decor.

I ordered a smoothie and peanut butter & banana toast topped with cinnamon granola and honey.

After breakfast, we decided to explore Hackney a little starting across the road at Umit & Son.

It was a cool old video store where they still develop old film and it was pilled high with film reels, VHS and movie memorabilia for sale.

A little further up the road, we discovered Wild and Woolly, a cute little yarn shop with knit animal heads pinned to the wall like taxidermy.

Next door was Lion Records + Coffee.

As the name suggested, it's a coffee shop that also sells records.

Next was Pages Of Hackney, a cute little bookstore selling new books upstairs and used books downstairs.

There was a cool book of Marilyn Monroe paper dolls downstairs.

We then popped into the Mad Atelier, a high end furniture store selling designer decor.

Everything was far too expensive but it was fun to have a peek.

Our final stop was Paper Dress Vintage, a vintage clothes store / cafe / bar which seemed really cool.

It was raining when we arrived in Camden, so we sheltered at the Black Heart.

On our way down to Mornington Crescent station, we passed by Trufflesecco, a restaurant specializing in prosecco and food made with truffles.

Tom was keen to try truffles, so we ordered the Trufflesecco Pasta topped with fresh truffle shavings to share with a side of truffle popcorn and bread with truffle oil.
