I met up with Tom and Pamela for drinks at Akva after work today.

In the evening we met up with Katie & Phil to celebrate Phil's birthday.

We started with dinner at Papavero on Howe Street.

Tom and I shared the focaccia flat pizza bread to start which was pretty yummy.

Tom then ordered Puttanesca but I won the food contest with my Fiocchi Formaggio & Pere.

I'd ordered the dish after giggling at the typo "with delicious a cheese" in the menu but it really was delicious with pasta parcels filled with cheese and pear.

We went next door to Six Degrees North afterwards because Phil loves their beer selection.

An adorable puppy called Panda came to see us dressed in a little dinosaur costume.

We headed to Panda & Sons afterwards for cocktails.

I ordered the Tiki Takeaway which came served in a Chinese take out box topped with spirals of cucumber to look like noodles.

We were feeling super hungry but everywhere was closed when Katie & Phil suggested going to the casino.

Luckily there was plenty of cheap food and drink on the menu. So we ordered noodles and sipped on Cosmopolitans.
