Alison & Martyn were down in London today so we met them for brunch at The Bike Shed in Shoreditch.

The Bike Shed is part bike showroom, part shop and part bar and restaurant. There was even a barbers with hipsters having their hair cut.

Alison and I tucked into the Bike Shed pancakes, topped with berries and maple syrup.

Tom had creamy mushrooms on toast with poached eggs.

We headed up to Dark Arts Coffee afterwards, a cool little coffee roasters and cafe in a railway vault in Homerton.

The food menu sounded so good but we were still full from breakfast, so settled for coffee and a brownie to share.

The cafe was covered in Serial Killer posters and it said "I Will Kill Again" at the bottom of Tom's cup.

We popped into Four Quarters to play a few arcade games.

I loved that the machines took actual quarters.

We had a wander through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park afterwards where there was a cool phone box sculpture.

There were some adorable bird boxes at the station, carved to look like London landmarks.
