    1. Edit

Mum came through to Edinburgh this morning and we went for breakfast at Milk Juicery.

    2. Edit

We tucked into granola bowls topped with fruit and yogurt.

  2. Checkin at Strumpets
    1. Edit

I took her to Strumpets afterwards for a pot of chai latte. Mum spotted a flyer for their book club and wants to join.

It was very pink inside and a lot more relaxed than any of the cat cafes I'd been to.

    4. Edit

There were comfy sofas around the room, and after taking a seat, you were handed a fluffy pink blanket followed by a chihuahua.

    5. Edit

Hepburn was the first puppy we were handed with a sparkly collar and fluffy fur.

    6. Edit

Elsa was the second puppy and immediately fell asleep on my Mum's knee for the rest of our visit. Mum thought she had the same expression on her face as my Dad when he's tired.

The cats had just had their lunch so it was catnap time when we arrived and there were sleeping balls of fluff curled up everywhere.

The cats perked up when the coffees and cakes arrived. I had a hot chocolate dusted with a cocoa paw.

Sebastian was floating above everyone on his catwalk looking like a fluffy white cloud.

Elodie, the sphynx, was the star attraction when she emerged from her cat bed. Her skin was so velvety.

She looked so funny when sat next to this super furry fluff ball.

Katie wanted to steal the sleepy ginger kitty for Phil as a birthday present.

    12. Edit

Pauline was the first cat I met when Maison de Moggy first opened. She was a tiny kitten then with huge paws but today's she's a giant fluffy Maine Coon.

I loved this vintage dress. It reminded us of the type that LindyBop make.

  7. Checkin at The Cuckoo's Nest
    1. Edit

Dad came through in the evening and joined us at the Cuckoo's Nest, where I'd accidentally ordered a big bottle of prosecco thinking it would be a mini one.

  8. Checkin at Bodega TollX
    1. Edit

We went for dinner at the new location of Bodega at Tollcross.

    2. Edit

Mum and I ordered margaritas made with pomegranate and balsamic vinegar which were delicious.

    3. Edit

We started with scallion fries and spiced potatoes.

    4. Edit

We then ordered lots of tacos to tuck into including the avocado tempura, tempura tiger prawn and baja cod bites. The avocado were my favourite!
