We headed to Paddington this morning to do some exploring for my next video and hunt down Paddington Bear.

We started by picking up a copy of the Pawprint Trail to tell us where to find his statues and filming locations around the area.

  4. Edit

Annoyingly, one of the statues had been stolen and another was in a locked building but we did find this adorable flock Paddington Bear under the bridge in Paddington Basin.

  5. Checkin at Beany Green Coffee
    1. Edit

We went for breakfast on Darcie Green, a canal boat in Paddington Basin and sister restaurant to Beany Green.

Tom had fried eggs on charcoal bread with chilli pesto & cucumber.

There were hundreds of origami boats floating in the canal at Merchant Square.

We took a walk through Paddington afterwards, across Edgware Road and up into Marylebone.

We stopped off at Alfies Antique Market which was filled with floors and floors of antiques.

The antiques were very expensive but we headed up to the rooftop cafe which has a lovely view.

    4. Edit

It was warm enough to sit out on the terrace and have a glass of wine.

  11. Checkin at Baker Street
    1. Edit

We then wandered over to Baker Street where we made our way through the Wonder Pass.

    2. Edit

I was prepared to be very underwhelmed but it was actually quite cool with little peep holes and dioramas filled with Baker Street sites.

I liked the creepy miniature wax work studio for Madame Tussauds.

We then headed down to Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle.

    3. Edit

We'd passed it before on the bus but never realised how huge it was, with dozens of food stalls and bars.

    4. Edit

There was a deli selling cheese, wine and tasty ingredients.

    6. Edit

There was a Farm Bus selling plants, cactus and succulents from the driver's seat and luggage racks.

There was even a brewery, so Tom got himself a pint of German beer.

    9. Edit

I headed for the churros stall where they make fresh churros and pipe them in the middle with hot chocolate.
