We've been on the hunt for a cool neon sign to put on the wall above our stairs for a while, when I came up with the idea of making a light-up tube map to go with all of Tom's London Underground signs.

I used different colours of EL wires to make each of the lines, using a tube map for reference, and glueing them to a sheet of perspex from an Ikea frame.

I love how it looks in the dark.

I've also been getting creative in the kitchen and attempting to recreate the Venezulean food we had with Pamela at Arepa + Co. First, I made some cornmeal pancakes, filling them with fried mushrooms, grated cheese and fried onions.

I then made some tequeños which are little pastries filled with cheese. I used mozzarella but next time I'd like to use some proper Venezuelan cheese.
