Tom had a busy day of job interviews, including one at the top of Canary Wharf, do we treated ourselves to dim sum at Ping Pong.

To drink, Tom had a Mai Tai and I had a Lychee & Roses martini with gin, rose petals, lemon and lychee juice.

It's been a while since I've been to Ping Pong and I'd forgotten how good the food is. We tucked into prawn toast, black prawn dumplings and my favourite dish of all, crispy prawn parcels.

We then shared the soft shell crab bao, which you stuffed yourself with pickled carrot and cabbage.

Jenny was doing a talk in Whitechapel in the evening, so we met up with her and Rin afterwards and went for drinks at the Discount Suit Company.

It looks like a cheap suit shop on the outside, to blend in with the other shops on the street, but downstairs is a super dark, candle-lit speakeasy.

Tom had a Teddy Bear cocktail with rum, pale ale syrup, pineapple and pink grapefruit, while I had the Airfix with gin, amaro, lime, orange and peach bitters.

Afterwards we went for dinner at Pizza Union and I had a super tasty Funghi pizza with an aioli dip for the crust.
