    It's a new year, but Bobbin is as cute as every and woke up looking extra fluffy after our hogmanay celebrations with Katie & Phil last night.

    I decided to kick 2018 off with a splash and make mermaid smoothie bowls for breakfast with the fish tail mould that Tom had put in my Christmas stocking.

    One of my resolutions is to cook and craft more this year, so I also baked everyone some Pain Au Chocolat which must have been good because they were almost all gone by the time I sat down for breakfast.

    Excited to show Katie & Phil around London, we headed out into the world, stopping off to take selfies at the Boys and Girls entrances outside our gates.

      Our first stop was Leicester Square to go on the hunt for squished pennies.

      We then spotted a penny machine in Bubba Gump Shrimp, where we got Forrest Gump pennies to go with the ones I'd collected in Savannah.

      We then headed up to Camden, as Katie had never been and we knew she'd love the markets.

      We perked ourselves up with coffee at the Heaven Canal Cafe which has lovely big windows that look down on the lock.

    It was the time to hit the shops and the markets. Katie was even window shopping for a tattoo artist.

      When we got hungry, we headed into the Camden Lock Market to check out the food stalls.

      I knew what I wanted as soon as I spotted the halloumi fries at Oli Baba's.

      They looked beautiful topped with za'atar yogurt, pomegranate molasses, mint, sumac, chilli and pomegranate seeds.

      We continued looking around the market stalls afterwards and Katie bought an impossibly small lucky cat which was so tiny it fit on her nail.

      There was then just enough time for a drink and a pint of sweets at The Hawley Arms before they had to leave.

      It was then time to drop Katie & Phil off at King's Cross to catch their train home and we were so sad to see them leave.

      We popped into St Pancras on our way home to see their giant Christmas tree which is covered in flowers.
