I treated myself to a set of spiderweb nails from Primark. They looked amazing but it was so hard to do simple tasks, I don't know how people manage to wear them all the time.

We were heading over east today so we stopped off to see the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

  3. Checkin at Westfield Levi Roots Restaurant

After a walk around the park, we went for lunch at Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse in Westfield.

    2. Edit

We started with the Halloumi Crunch which were jerk marinated halloumi sticks. I also had a Roots & Spice smoothie with ginger, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, condensed milk and lime.

    3. Edit

Tom had a Jerk Salmon Fillet topped with tiger prawns, while I had Butternut Tosh which was skewered butternut squash, beetroot, red onion, pineapple & peppers with a side of black eyed peas.

    1. Edit

In the evening, we'd booked a ride on The Ghost Train organized by the Epping Ongar Railway, so we headed to Epping to catch a Routemaster to the station.

There was a pretty sunset when we arrived in Epping which just added to the Halloween-y-ness of the night.

    4. Edit

The Routemaster arrived, we piled on and it made its way through the very dark Epping Forest to North Weald Station.

    5. Edit

North Weald had been renamed to North Weird for the ocasiion.

The train had been decorated with cobwebs and ghouls.

    10. Edit

We made ourselves comfy in one of the private carriages and waited to depart.

    11. Edit

Once we were on the move, things got really scary as a gang of clowns and ghouls made their way down the carriages, staring in at us from the corridor.

We were glad when the train arrived in Ongar where we could get off and away from the creepy clown posse.

  5. Checkin at The Breakfast Club, Borough Market
    1. Edit

It was fun watching all the zombies and witches using the Underground as we caught the tube back to London Bridge, where we went for dinner at The Breakfast Club.

    2. Edit

I ordered a Pina Colada and Tom had a Long Island Ice Tea.

    3. Edit

We shared the WINNER WINNER! which came served on a tray like a TV dinner with buttermilk halloumi served on a cheddar waffle with slaw, chopped salad, sour cream & BBQ beans.
