It was snowing in London today and we looked out the window to see Figgy covered in snow.

  2. Checkin at Greenwich, Newham, United Kingdom
    1. Edit

We thought it would be fun to see London in the snow, so we caught the DLR down to Greenwich.

We then spotted Pimp My Ramen, a food stall serving ramen burgers and couldn't wait to try one.

We had the spiced Indian veggie burger topped with cheese and a fried egg. It was delicious and the bun was exactly like the ones I've been making at home, so I was glad to have done it justice.

  5. Checkin at Greenwich Park

We then took a walk through the very snowy Greenwich Park.

We weren't the only ones with that idea and dozens of adorable little dachshunds were dressed up in Christmas outfits for Sausage Walk London.

  6. Checkin at Kings Arms, Greenwich
    1. Edit

We needed to warm up after our walk so we headed to the Kings Arms.

Tom had heard that there was a race of pantomime horses about to start outside, so I sipped my mulled wine quickly so that we wouldn't miss it.

  7. Edit

We shouldn't have worried though, as the pub was one of the stops on their race, and just as we were about to leave, hundreds of pantomime horse tops and bottoms came in to take a shot before racing to the next pub.

  8. Edit

The theme of this years race was music, so the contestants had punny horse names to go with their costumes including Amy Winehorse, Nag N Bone Man and Beyonce-Neigh.

The race was to raise money for charity and it was really more of a pub crawl than a race. It was funny watching the horses get more and more drunk as they made their way down the street.

  11. Checkin at The Full Nelson
    1. Edit

We headed to Deptford Bridge afterwards for lunch at The Full Nelson, a dive bar we'd heard serves amazing vegan junk food.

We'd heard correctly and we sipped on Happy Hour cocktails while tucking into vegan chicken and waffles. Now we can understand the appeal of putting maple syrup on fried chicken - it was delicious!
