  1. Checkin at Bethnal Green tube station
    1. Edit

We headed up to Bethnal Green this afternoon where we stopped to admire the tiles and awesome clock in the tube station.

  2. Checkin at York Hall, Bethnal Green
    1. Edit

It was the day of the Bust Christmas Craftacular at York Hall, so we popped in for some gift inspiration.

  3. Checkin at London Cocktail Club Bethnal Green
    1. Edit

We then went to the London Cocktail Club in a railway arch on Paradise Row.

    2. Edit

There are a few of these bars around the city but this one is all London Underground themed so Tom felt very at home.

    3. Edit

It was Happy Hour when we arrived, meaning 2 for 1 cocktails, so I picked the first drink which was a White Lady with gun, cointreau, lemon juice and egg white.

Tom picked our second drink which was a Smoked Demerara Old Fashioned with bourbon, bitters, brown sugar and peaty whisky.

  4. Checkin at Sager + Wilde Paradise Row
    1. Edit

We were starting to get hungry, but luckily it was also Happy Hour next door at Sager + Wilde.

The restaurant was lovely inside a candle-lit railway arch and between 5-7pm everyday, you can get a bowl of pasta and glass of wine for £10.

    4. Edit

We sipped on white wine and tucked into crab and chilli linguine with a side of bread and oils.

  5. Checkin at Aldgate
    1. Edit

Afterwards we picked up hot chocolates and walked to Aldgate for Window Wonderland, where people were encouraged to leave their curtains open after dark so that you passers by could admire their Christmas decorations.

    2. Edit

I loved the concept but it was so hard to tell who, if anyone, was taking part.
