  1. Checkin at Granary Square
    1. Edit

It was almost time for Izzy & Paul to catch their train back to Edinburgh, so packed up their bags and headed up to Granary Square near the station for breakfast.

    2. Edit

There was an amazing singing and talking tree sculpture which was complaining about it's commute before bursting into Christmas songs.

  2. Checkin at Caravan Restaurants
    1. Edit

Everyone was feeling a little rough for wear this morning, so we decided to perk ourselves up with brunch at Caravan in Kings Cross.

    2. Edit

We sipped on Bloody Marys while waiting for our table. They had mustard in and were the spiciest I've ever drank.

    3. Edit

I had the maple granola which was served with soya milk, pistachios, salted coconut youghurt and pickled sultanas.

    5. Edit

Tom had the crayfish bowl with rice, lots of veg and miso mayonnaise.

  3. Checkin at German Gymnasium
    1. Edit

We had just enough time to grab one last drink in the German Gymnasium, a German restaurant in a historic gym at the station.

    2. Edit

It was so pretty inside with a huge open roof and giant warehouse windows.

    3. Edit

We sat up at the marble bar and browsed the fairy tale inspired cocktail menu.

    4. Edit

Tom had the Cinderella with Lillet Rouge, Rinomato bitter infused coffee beans, smoky ginger ale and ice hand carved to look like a glass slipper.

    5. Edit

I had the Little Red Riding Hood with gin, Lillet Blanc, Byrrh and spiced orange ginger ale, served in a wolf goblet.

  4. Edit

It was then time to hug Izzy & Paul goodbye and make our way through the rainbow tunnel back down to the tube.
