      The best thing about being back in Edinburgh is being able to catch up with our friends and today I met Katie for lunch.

      We went to Fredericks Coffee House next to Katie's office which has huge windows overlooking the castle.

      We were naughty and had prosecco while tucking into a giant cheeseboard.

      In the evening, I met up with Tom and Pamela at FreeAgent for Board Games Night before heading for dinner at the Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen.

      I had some devilled mushrooms on sourdough toast with a peppery beer reduction and side of truffle parmesan fries.
