      I'd booked a little lodge for dinner on the rooftop of John Lewis where The Ethicurean have a pop-up restaurant and garden decorated in fairy lights for Christmas.

      Our little lodge was so cute, with it's own little garden and cosy table inside.

      The lodge was decorated with cute garden furniture on the inside and had a heater and radio to listen to.

      Mum was a little sleepy so I convinced her to perk up with an orange espresso martini, while I had a pumpkin and orange cocktail.

      We tucked into cheddar and cider Welsh Rarebit with a side of rosemary fries.

      The sun had set by the time we left the lodge and the garden looked even prettier at night.

      I treated our Christmas tree to some London themed baubles.

      Down in the food hall, Tom picked up a pot of gin olives to take home.

    We wandered home down Regents Street, admiring their angel fairy lights.

      We stopped off at the Lego store to pick up an advent calendar and then caught the tube home.

    Inspired by our meal at Sea Containers, I attempted to recreate their raw mushroom salad for everyone.
