  1. Checkin at Sea Containers Restaurant

      Tom had been curious to check out Sea Containers, and then an offer popped up on TimeOut, so we went along for dinner this evening.

      The restaurant is in the super swanky Mondrain Hotel on the South Bank.

      Even the toilets were super swanky.

      Just as we were about to tuck into our starters, the Hairy Bikers arrived, so we knew we'd picked a good place for dinner.

      To start Tom had red cabbage and cured salmon topped with lemon, endive and mulled wine.

      I had one of the tastiest salads that I've ever had with shaved mushrooms, Manchego and pine nuts.

      Tom then had poached hake with cabbage and a curried cauliflower purée.

      I had creamy polenta topped with wild mushrooms. It was delicious but so filling that I only managed to eat about half of the bowl.

      For dessert, I had a Floating Island with dulce de leche and pink praline. It looked so pretty on it's sparkly plate.

      Tom had a pecan & orange Swiss roll topped with mulled wine sorbet.
