  1. Checkin at Foxes Farm Fields
    1. Edit

We're having a Halloween party next week so we decided to stock up on pumpkins and pick our own at a pumpkin patch.

The closest patch we could find to Central London was Foxes Farm Fields in Essex, so we jumped in the Fig and headed out of the city.

The fields were full of pumpkins and squashes in every colour and size, so we grabbed a wheelbarrow and starting picking our favourites, trying to decide what design we'd give each.

We picked a couple of white pumpkins, a dark green one which almost looked black and a few classic orange ones including one that was the size of Tom's head.

  2. Checkin at Trinity Buoy Wharf
    1. Edit

We stopped off at Trinity Buoy Wharf on our drive back into town which I think is one of the coolest places in London.

  3. Checkin at Fat Boy's Diner
    1. Edit

We parked up and went for lunch at Fat Boy's Diner, a cool 1950's diner in a trailer which had been imported from New Jersey.

We ordered a table full of fried food including onion rings, fried pickles, a veggie burger, sweet potato fries and a tuna crunch wrap. Our eyes were definetly bigger than our bellies and we had to get a doggy bag to take most of it home.

We popped into The Faraday Effect afterwards which is one of London's smallest museums.

The tiny shed has been set up like scientist Michael Faraday's lab, who conducted experiments at the lighthouse.

Another really cool thing they have is the Floodtide listening post, a machine that plays music based on the tide.

I tried to record a little of it playing but it was a bit windy.

  10. Checkin at Canary Wharf
    1. Edit

We drove through Canary Wharf on our way home, which is always fun at the weekend because it's deserted and you can pretend you're in a zombie infested New York City!

    2. Edit

We past by the Traffic Light Tree, a giant sculpture made out of stop lights and traffic signs.

  11. Edit

Bobbin was very interested in the arrival of our new house guests when we got home.
