We headed out on an adventure to the Chislehurst Caves, down in Bromley, South London.

    2. Edit

Before we entered the caves, we were given oil lamps to help us light our way.

The caves were used as an air raid shelter for over 15,000 people during World War II.

There was a church, multiple canteens, hospital and even a Citizens Advice Bureau.

During the 60s, the caves were turned into a jazz club wit David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones playing.

This one isn't really a ghost sign but it made us laugh.

  3. Checkin at Sylvan Post
    1. Edit

We went for dinner at Sylvan Post, a post office themed pub.

    2. Edit

And when I say post office themed, I mean 70s era post office which hasn't changed in decades.

We sat in the original safe at the back, which had really thick walls and a door that could still lock.

To drink, I had a Sylvan Collins with gin, soda and grapefruit.

    7. Edit

Tom had a smoked black bean beetroot cheese burger and I had sweet potato and feta fritters, topped with poached eggs and vegetable crisps. The food was so good.
