      It was the day of the Pearly Kings and Queens Harvest Festival at Guildhall.

      I've always wanted to see a real Pearly Queen and admire her pearly coat, so we headed along to check it out.

      There were vintage cars including these two amazing old taxis.

      They were convertible and also featured in the new Goodbye Christopher Robin movie.

      It was too tempting not to ask for permission to honk the horn.

      There were some dapper looking donkeys who were dressed up for the occassion.

      A Morris dancing bull who bowed at me when he spotted me taking photos.

      However, I think the Pearly Newfys where my favourite. They looked so cute pulling little carts of milk and bread.

      We also got to pet some lovely police horses to "thank them for their service". This made my Grandma happy.

      It was then time for the show with Morris dancing, bands and dancing around the May pole.

      One of the traditions of the festival is to embarrass the Mayors, so they were made to dance around the May pole.

      The finale was a performance from the drummers who played during the London Olympics opening ceremony in 2012.

      Afterwards, we had a little look around the Guildhall Art Gallery.

      There was a Roman Amphitheatre in the basement of the building.

    Sticking with the Roman theme, we past by the London Roman Wall.

  4. Checkin at Postman's Park

      We stopped for a seat in Postman's Park.

      There's a huge memorial wall in the garden dedicated to the men and woman who have made a heroic self sacrafice.

  5. Checkin at Barbican Estate

      We dropped the family off at the Museum Of London so that we could head home and prepare dinner.

      We wandered through the Barbican Centre on our way to the tube so that we could get a little bit lost and admire the architecture.

      We were also hoping to see the two new Banksy pieces that had appeared about a week ago.

      Back at our place, it was Grandma's last evening in London, so we'd cooked up salmon en croute for dinner, complete with a pastry union jack on the top.
