  1. Checkin at Coppa Club
    1. Edit

Tom and I started our day with brunch at Coppa Club at Oxford Circus.

    2. Edit

Tom had his usual and I had smashed avocado on toast with poached eggs which we washed down with white peach sangrias.

We wandered up to Bloomsbury afterwards, spotting lots of ghost signs and a door to nowhere along the way.

  4. Checkin at Grant Museum of Zoology, UCL
    1. Edit

We then visited the Grant Museum of Zoology which was a gorgeous museum and my new favourite in London.

    2. Edit

The museum is filled with cabinets and bell jars filled with animal skeletons, organs and skulls.

    4. Edit

This python skeleton was gigantic. I'd hate to meet a real one in the wild.

    5. Edit

These creatures were preserved in a chemical which turned their skin translucent so you could see all of their veins.

    7. Edit

I think the crocodile heart may have been my favourite exhibit.

    8. Edit

There was a wall covered in slides of tiny specimins and organisms.

    10. Edit

I could have spent hours exploring the museum and still have not seen everything, so I'll have to come back. It also renewed me love of bell jars.

  5. Checkin at Wellcome Collection
    1. Edit

We then went for a quick look around the Wellcome Collection.

    2. Edit

We made up way up the cool spiral staircase to the top floor where there was a gallery filled with dozens of important objects.

    3. Edit

As well as mummies and preserved tattoed skin, they had Napoleon's toothbrush and a lock of King George III's hair.

    5. Edit

There was so much more to see but we were feeling a bit museumed out after the Grant Museum so we'll pop back at some point to see the rest.

    7. Edit

We did take a peek at the shop though and there were so many great gift ideas including tea sets with tooth prints and blood bag shower gel.

  6. Checkin at Vanilla black Kennington
    1. Edit

We then headed back to Kennington and went for coffee and brownies at Vanilla Black.

  7. Checkin at Vauxhall
    1. Edit

The London Tequila & Tacos Experience was taking place at Vauxhall Street Food Garden, so we decided to swing by and check it out.

    2. Edit

We watched the mariache band for a little while but it was a bit too rainy to sit outside and eat, so we hunted for somewhere indoors.

  8. Checkin at Pop Art Sushi
    1. Edit

We ended up at Pop Art Sushi, a sushi restaurant and pop-art gallery.

    2. Edit

The menu and cocktails were inspired by artists and bands with dishes like The Warhols salmon tartare, The Beatles sashimi and The Lichtensteins salmon.

    4. Edit

We ordered the Salmon Overdose platter which came served on a cake stand.

    6. Edit

It included salmon maki, sashimi, gunkan, uramaki, nigiri and The Warhols that I meantioned earlier.

  9. Checkin at Cable Cafe Bar
    1. Edit

We stopped off at the Cable Bar for a night cap on the way home.

    2. Edit

    3. Edit

It's such a cosy spot to have a cocktail in the evening and they roast their own coffee, so I knew their espresso martinis would be good.
